Menaud

In a remote, lushly forested region of French Canada, Menaud’s founders were building a high-end distillery with an uncompromising approach: local grain, meticulous production, and spirits that express the land they come from. They approached Wedge to translate that craft into a luxury brand and family of custom bottles.

The forest gave us our signature color: deep green. In a category dominated by clear glass, this single gesture cut through the noise and made Menaud recognizable from ten feet away. Drawing on architecture, Japanese glass, and vintage Porsches, we approached the bottle as a sculptural object worth keeping long after the last pour.

Elegance in simplicity. Sculptural green glass, textured paper, and a wooden cap that meets the bottle in one seamless line. Beneath the base, a hidden passage from the Canadian novel behind Menaud’s name rewards a closer look. All together, it’s a story rooted in its surroundings, expressed through form, material, and discovery.

The bottles went on to enter the permanent collection of the Musée national des beaux-arts du Québec, a prestigious fine arts museum in Canada. Menaud also expanded to France, bringing its regional character to an international audience.
