Brami

America’s fastest-growing national pasta brand.

The evolution of Brami that unlocked everything

The Context

Inspired by childhood meals in his nonna’s kitchen in Italy, Aaron Gatti built Brami around the nutritious lupini bean and the ambition to impact America’s health by reinventing the modern Italian pantry. In 2021, Aaron approached Wedge to lead a full rebrand—from strategy and positioning to visual system, packaging system, and brand world—that would set the stage for the next decade. Our evolution launched in 2022, establishing the foundation for a growing food company.

The Insight

Americans love Italian food. Our ethnographic research revealed they also associate it with consequences. Yet the Italian way of eating celebrates food that nourishes and brings pleasure. Brami could bridge that gap, pairing modern nutritional clarity with the warmth and authenticity of its roots.

The Big Idea & Success

New Era Italian Food. One mighty bean became one unmistakable shape and color. Wedge created a modular system around the lupini silhouette, uniting ready-to-eat beans, dips, pasta, and whatever comes next. Bold benefits and clean white space make nutrition easy to understand, while hand-painted ingredients, illustration, and Italian-inspired lettering bring gusto, appetite, and joy.

This foundational system remains in use to date, as Brami scales across products and retailers. And we continue to innovate together.

Our partnership set the stage for significant impact: projected ~400% YoY growth in 2026 as America’s fastest-growing national pasta brand, expanded national distribution across Walmart, Target, Whole Foods, Costco and Kroger, and a $33M Series B led by VMG Partners. A brand built for the ambition, with room to keep growing.
